Ernst & Young LLP’s global managing partner will step up to serve as the firm’s next chief executive officer, the firm announced Jan. 18.
Carmine Di Sibio will take over as chairman and CEO in July, succeeding Mark Weinberger who announced in December that he was stepping down and planned to retire.
As managing partner for client services, Di Sibio reported directly to Weinberger. He led the firm’s overall strategy including a $1 billion investment in technology. He also helped design the firm’s acquisitions and partnerships strategy to expand its service offerings, the firm said.
