U.K. Auditors Begin Warnings of Brexit Risks

U.K. accounting firms have introduced warnings into some audit reports about the dangers that Brexit poses to business as uncertainty over the terms of the final deal drives down business confidence and investment.

The U.K. is set to leave the European Union on March 29, with no agreement in place after politicians voted down the government’s deal with Brussels in January.

KPMG LLP warned about the resulting uncertainty in its audit opinion for home improvement company Anglian Windows Ltd. for fiscal year 2018 in the company’s Jan. 28 financial statements
