U.K. Big Four Firms Paid Women 20% Less Despite Diversity Drive

A push by U.K. accounting firms to improve diversity, close the gender pay gap, and increase the number of women in senior positions has had little impact over the past year.

On average, the Big Four accounting firms paid female staff 20 percent less than males in 2018. based on data provided by the companies.

Most reported only a marginal improvement over the previous year, with KPMG LLP’s U.K. operation actually reporting a widening pay disparity between men and women.
