U.K. Mulls How to Build Tech Expertise Into Accounting

U.K. accounting organizations are emphasizing new technology areas such as data analysis in qualification examinations to keep pace with the information explosion confronting the profession.

“We’ve long included a technology element in our exams,” said Reza Ali, director of professional education at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. “But things have really accelerated in the past two years as more data and ways to analyze it have become available to companies.”
