Former managers of a Massachusetts nursing home caught in a Covid-19 outbreak face allegations that they exposed staff members to the virus and required them to work while symptomatic.
The lawsuit is one of several filed by employees and families of residents who are trying to hold the Holyoke Soldier’s Home accountable for outbreaks in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Nursing homes were an epicenter for Covid-19, leading to more than 1,500,000 confirmed cases among staff members and 3,024 staff deaths. An outbreak at Holyoke killed more than 70 veterans.
