The Senate Banking Committee backed the nominations of Jeffrey Nadaner as the Commerce Department’s assistant secretary for export enforcement and Claudia Slacik to serve on the Export-Import Bank’s board.
The committee vote for Nadaner was 25-0. The committee backed Slacik on a 23-2 vote, with Sens. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) and Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) voting no, a Senate aide told Bloomberg Law March 12 in an email. Both Shelby and Toomey are critics of the bank.
