Chinese Drone-Maker DJI’s Texas Patent Trial Canceled for Now

DJI, the world’s largest civilian drone-maker, had been sued over three patents that were originally owned by International Business Machines and now are held by Daedalus Blue of Bronxville, New York.

  • Daedalus Blue acquired the patents from IBM in September 2019 and sued DJI in February 2020 in Waco, Texas
  • U.S. District Judge Alan Albright on Monday canceled the trial “until further order of the court”
  • A magistrate judge on Nov. 24 had canceled a conference and jury selection that had beet set for Dec. 1 and 2
