The US Supreme Court justices were invited to physically hold liquor bottle-shaped dog toys at the heart of a Jack Daniel’s trademark dispute before the motion just disappeared.
VIP Products LLC’s motion requested to file 10 “Silly Squeakers Bad Spaniels” toys to the record. It said “having the physical toy will assist the court far more than a picture in understanding the nature of the toy” and how it’d be “viewed by reasonable consumers.”
Jack Daniel’s didn’t object, but the motion was stricken from the docket as unnecessary because the toys were already in the district court record, VIP Products ...
