Bed Bath & Beyond Sued Over Layoffs, Alleged WARN Act Violations

A former store manager brought a proposed class action Friday against Bed Bath & Beyond after the retail chain shut down a Harmon-branded store in New Jersey.

Michael Palmeri, in his complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey, alleged Harmon Stores Inc. and Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. violated federal and New Jersey labor laws by not providing advanced notice of a “mass layoff” earlier this year.
