Diddy Stuck With Trademark Lawsuit Over ‘Act Bad’ Song, Merch

Rapper and producer Sean Combs, professionally known as Diddy, can be sued for trademark infringement over his song “Act Bad” and related branding, a federal judge in New York ruled.

Appearing pro se, Charles Kenyatta Jr. successfully alleged that Combs and his record label, Bad Boy Entertainment LLC, continued using the “ACT BAD” mark after it was registered, Judge John G. Koeltl of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said Monday. Kenyatta also adequately claimed the mark is entitled to trademark protection and that Combs’s use was likely to cause consumer confusion.
