Argentina Exempts Pandemic-Hit Businesses from Social Taxes

Argentina extended an exemption until the end of the year from social taxes for businesses most exposed to the Covid-19 pandemic under a decree issued by the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Security May 10.

The measure (Spanish) reduces by 100% employer contributions due to the Argentine Integrated Pensions System for businesses that registered under the government’s REPRO II job subsidy program.
