Czech Minimum Wage to Increase in 2020

The Czech Republic’s monthly minimum wage is to increase by 9.4% in 2020, the country’s labor ministry said Dec. 9.

The monthly minimum wage is to rise to 14,600 koruna (U.S. $633.58) in 2020, up from 13,350 koruna (U.S. $579.34) in 2019, the country’s Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said in a news release (Czech). Total employer wage costs in the Czech Republic’s business sector are to increase by about 3.2 billion Czech koruna (U.S. $138.7 million), the ministry said.
