Indiana Must Resume Federal Pandemic Jobless Aid, Judge Rules

Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb’s decision to abandon federal pandemic unemployment benefits programs violated state law, an Indiana judge said in a ruling Friday ordering state officials to rejoin the initiative.

Indiana is one of 26 states that recently opted for an early end to participation in the federal jobless aid, which Congress authorized to continue through early September.
