Nebraska to End Covid-19 Nexus Modification

Nebraska’s modified withholding treatment of remote workers is to end July 30 because the state’s state of emergency ended, the state revenue department said July 20.

The guidance was in effect until 30 days after the end of Nebraska’s state of emergency, the department said in a list of frequently asked questions and answers. The state of emergency ended June 30 under an executive order by Gov. Pete Ricketts (R).

Under the guidance, employers did not have to change the work state in their payroll systems for employees temporarily working remotely or at temporary worksites inside or outside Nebraska. ...
