Outback Steakhouse Worker Settles Tipped Minimum Wage Lawsuit

An Outback Steakhouse worker reached a deal resolving allegations that the chain restaurant made her spend too much time on untipped side work without paying minimum wage after dropping collective claims from the suit.

OS Restaurant Services LLC agreed to pay $4,500 to end the Fair Labor Standards Act dispute and denies the worker’s allegations. The settlement includes nearly $2,300 in attorneys’ fees, with the remainder representing the worker’s allegedly lost wages and liquidated damages, the parties told the US District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.
