Effective Jan. 1, 2019, the Texas unemployment tax rates for experienced employers are to decrease from 2018, the state Workforce Commission said on its website Dec. 7.

For 2019, tax rates for experienced employers are to range from 0.36 percent to 6.36 percent, compared with 0.46 percent to 6.46 percent for 2018. The rates include a replenishment tax of 0.26 percent, down from 0.36 percent for 2018, and an employment training investment assessment of 0.1 percent, unchanged from 2018.
