Washington Releases 2020 Workers’ Compensation Payroll Tax Rates

Washington’s list of workers’ compensation payroll tax rates effective for 2020 was released by the state Department of Labor and Industries.

Employers are permitted to withhold from wages the employee portion of the workers’ compensation payroll tax due. The chart, issued Nov. 26, indicates for each risk classification the default employee payroll deduction rates for employers with an experience-modification factor of 1.
