Credit Suisse Spying Scandal Probe Exposes Five Fresh Cases

A probe by Switzerland’s banking regulator into the spying scandal at Credit Suisse Group AG revealed five fresh episodes of unauthorized surveillance of employees and new enforcement proceedings against three individuals.

Finma, which doesn’t have the power to issue fines, also reprimanded two individuals implicated in the case and blasted the bank over its handling of the matter, in a statement released late Tuesday night. The new cases it disclosed all took place outside Switzerland between 2016 and 2019 and involved a mix of former employees and third parties.
