Environmental Groups and EPA Square Off in Haze Rule Arguments

Conservation and clean air groups clashed with the Environmental Protection Agency at the Tenth Circuit on Tuesday over Utah air plans the groups say will increase haze in national parks.

HEAL Utah, the National Parks Conservation Association, Sierra Club, and Utah Physicians for a Healthy Environment sued the EPA in January 2021 for approving a plan that would allow more flexible compliance measures for nitrous oxide emission reductions in two Utah coal-fired power plants.
