An employee of a Texas Porsche dealer who allegedly was fired after warning co-workers of another employee being infected with Covid-19 will get his job back and $15,000 in compensatory pay, according to a proposed court settlement.
The proposed settlement between the US Department of Labor and Hi Tech Motorcars LLC, also known as Porsche Austin, was filed Monday in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
The agreement bolsters US Occupational Safety and Health Administration law that says employers can’t punish workers for raising on-the-job health concerns with their supervisors.
