Warehouse Quota Law Gets Delay, More Exemptions in New York Bill

Large warehouse operators in New York such as Amazon.com Inc. would get more time to comply with a state law regulating the use of production quotas, under new legislation heading to the desk of Gov. Kathy Hochul (D).

The legislation (A1000 / S851) would postpone the effective date of New York’s warehouse workers law to June, instead of February. It also would make clear that delivery drivers and couriers carrying goods to and from warehouses aren’t covered by the law’s workplace standards.
