Beagle Deaths at Drug Researcher’s Facility Draw Investor Suit

Inotiv Inc. failed to tell investors about “widespread and flagrant” animal welfare violations at a Virginia research facility, a new suit alleges in federal court in Indiana.

The contract research firm, which caters to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, didn’t tell investors that a facility owned by recently acquired subsidiary Envigo “continuously violated” the Animal Welfare Act, according to a would-be class complaint filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.
