Fox Rothschild LLP was sued Tuesday by a plaintiff who said the law firm failed to sufficiently protect her data from cybercriminals who may have taken her Social Security number.
Law firms handle financial statements, medical data, and criminal records—all information from clients that make them a valuable target for cybercriminals. The Fox Rothschild breach follows an attack against Jones Day by the same perpetrators, SilentRansomGroup.
