A union representing California state attorneys sued dozens of state agencies for requiring employees to work in offices four days per week without conducting environmental reviews under state law.
California Attorneys, Administrative Law Judges and Hearing Officers in State Employment filed the lawsuit Tuesday in Alameda County Superior Court, according to a complaint filed under the California Environmental Quality Act. The union claims the return-to-office policies violate CEQA by failing to analyze environmental impacts from increased commuting by approximately 90,000 state workers.
