Poland, Czechia Expand Tax Exemptions to Aid Ukraine

Poland and the Czech Republic said Monday they were expanding tax breaks to aid victims of the Ukraine conflict.

In Poland, the Council of Ministers, the country’s highest decision-making body, approved a draft law that would allow companies to treat aid to Ukraine as a tax deductible expense between Feb. 24 and the end of the year.

Under the same draft, Ukrainian refugees in Poland would not be taxed on any aid they received.
