NY School Board Members’ Free Speech Suit Rejected by US Judge

New York State didn’t violate the First Amendment rights of Nassau and Albany county school board members when it warned them against making discriminatory statements about, and harassing, transgender students, a US judge has ruled.

Judge Anne M. Nardacci dismissed the lawsuit filed by board members and parents claiming Attorney General Letitita James (D) and the state education department threatened them with disciplinary action for speaking out about their views on transgender policies and gender identity.
