NCAA, Critics Clash at $2.8 Billion Antitrust Deal Hearing (1)

The NCAA sparred Monday with critics during an hourslong approval hearing of a nearly $2.8 billion antitrust settlement designed to resolve a sweeping lawsuit against the organization and its Power Five conferences.

Judge Claudia Wilken of the US District Court for the Northern District of California heard from several objectors who said the deal has inadequate representation for plaintiffs, unequal pay for women athletes, and unfair limits on team rosters.
