Yardi Antitrust Case Trimmed as Judge Nixes Out-of-State Parties

A federal judge in Seattle dismissed several property managers from a broad rent price-fixing lawsuit, holding that the court didn’t have jurisdiction over 10 out-of state defendants.

The US District Court for the Western District of Washington said it can’t assert personal jurisdiction over nonresident LLC defendants including Banyan Living Ohio LLC, Envolve Communities LLC, Grubb Properties LLC, Habitat Co. LLC, and McWhinney Property Management LLC.
