Canadian Province Says It Will Ban Social Media, AI For Youth

The Canadian province of Manitoba plans to prohibit young people from accessing social media and artificial intelligence chatbots, its leader said.

Wab Kinew, the premier of the region of 1.5 million people located north of North Dakota, announced the policy during a speech Saturday at an event held by his left-leaning New Democratic Party.
