Meta, Alphabet Warned About Russian Disinformation by Senators

Meta and Alphabet were sent letters by lawmakers asking the companies to devote significant resources to preventing Russian disinformation ahead of Armenia’s parliamentary elections in June.

• Sens. Jeanne Shaheen, a Democrat, and Thom Tillis, a Republican, write Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg and Alphabet’s Sundar Pichai, according to a release from the Senate Foreign Relations panel
