Dimon Says New COO Doesn’t Change Succession Timeline ‘At All’

When JPMorgan Chase & Co. named Jenn Piepszak its new chief operating officer on Tuesday, the 54-year-old promptly took herself out of the running to succeed CEO Jamie Dimon, when he one day leaves his post.

The 68-year-old Dimon, currently the longest-serving CEO among the major US banks, has given no fresh indication of plans for retirement. The latest leadership changes — Piepszak took her post immediately, with current COO Daniel Pinto planning to exit at the end of 2026 — didn’t prompt additional revelations.
