The probe concerns public tenders managed by Interbank Card Center, the country’s main payment-processing network also known by its Turkish acronym BKM, in which the central bank holds a majority stake. An internal audit in October 2024 flagged potential misconduct, prompting the central bank to file a criminal complaint in December, according to a statement on Friday.
