A group of House Republicans will meet Tuesday evening to discuss their next steps on a major housing bill after President Donald Trump endorsed the Senate’s version yesterday.
Financial Services Committee Republicans will meet at 5:30 p.m., according to a GOP aide familiar with the housing negotiations. Dan Schneider, a spokesperson for the committee, sent an email to all Financial Services Committee members’ communications staffers Tuesday morning about the meeting.
“I’m sure you’ve all seen the President’s post on Truth Social last night regarding the Senate-passed housing bill,” Schneider wrote in the email obtained by Bloomberg Government.
