UK Finance Bosses Challenge Reeves Over Non-Dom Crackdown

Finance chiefs have challenged the Chancellor over the UK’s crackdown on non-domiciled individuals, saying the policy undermined efforts to attract international talent and boost growth.

Bosses raised the subject with Rachel Reeves at a meeting Wednesday, according to people familiar with the matter. They warned that the Labour government’s plan to make non-doms’ overseas earnings subject to inheritance tax was particularly damaging as it would put off talented foreigners from coming to work in the UK, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing a private meeting.
