Alembic Pharma Gets US FDA Approvals for Four Drugs in 1Q

Alembic Pharmaceuticals Ltd. got approvals from the US Food and Drug Administration for four generic products during the quarter ended June 30, according to a stock exchange filing.

  • These include:
    • The generic version of Bausch & Lomb’s Bepreve Ophthalmic solution, used for treatment of itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis
    • Copy of USWM’s Corgard tablets, indicated to lower blood pressure
    • Generic of Pfizer’s Hemabate injection, used for aborting pregnancy
    • The generic version of Genzyme Corp’s Hectorol injection, which is prescribed for treating secondary hyperparathyroidism in adults
  • The drug-maker also got the US regulator’s tentative approval for generic of Galderma Laboratories’s ...
