Altice Suit Against Lenders to Proceed Pending Dismissal Request

Altice USA Inc.’s lawsuit against lenders including Apollo Capital Management, BlackRock Financial Management and Oaktree Capital Management will proceed while a federal judge considers a request to throw out the case.

US District Judge Jeannette Vargas at a hearing on Thursday denied a bid by the lenders to pause discovery until their motion to dismiss the suit is decided. The case, filed in November, alleges the lenders violated federal law by entering into a so-called cooperation agreement that suppressed competition among creditors.
