Boeing Seeks to Make Ligado Decide Future of Satellite Contract

A unit of Boeing Co. said it wants bankrupt Ligado Networks LLC to decide sooner than later if it will assume or reject a 20-year-old satellite operation contract with the manufacturer.

Boeing shouldn’t be strung along for years waiting on Ligado to decide whether to maintain its SkyTerra satellite network contract—for which it owes Boeing nearly $38 million—the aircraft maker said in a filing Wednesday to the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
