The US Transportation Department is temporarily pausing enforcement of rules that allow passengers to get refunds when their flight is given a different flight number than was originally assigned when they purchased their ticket, the department said in a regulatory filing Thursday.
- DOT wouldn’t enforce the rule “so long as the passenger is re-booked on the flight with the new number and the new flight is operated without any ‘significant change or delay.’”
