  • MDA Space Ltd. rises as much as 14% after EchoStar says it selected the Canadian company as the prime contractor for its new non-terrestrial network low Earth orbit direct-to-device satellite constellation.
  • The initial contract is valued at about $1.3 billion and includes the design, manufacturing and testing of more than 100 satellites
  • With options, the value of the contract would rise to total of about $2.5 billion
