The European Investment Bank has granted Ecuador’s state development bank Banco de Desarrollo del Ecuador a $100m loan, according to a statement emailed by the European Union embassy in Quito.
- Proceeds from the loan to go to boost water supply and treatment as well as waste management mainly in under-served rural communities, improving services for a combined million residents
- Terms of the loan weren’t announced
