Energy Transfer Gets Positive FID for Transwestern Expansion

Energy Transfer reached a positive financial decision for the expansion of its Transwestern Pipeline to increase the supply of natural gas to markets throughout Arizona and New Mexico from the company’s asset base in the Permian Basin.

  • Pipeline expansion consists of 516 miles of 42-inch pipeline and nine compressor stations in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas
  • Design capacity of pipeline is 1.5 billion cubic feet per day
  • Project expected to be in service by 4Q 2029
  • Project expected to cost about $5.3 billion, including $600 million of Allowance for Funds Used During Construction
