Jackson Walker LLP reached two settlements totaling nearly $1 million to resolve disputes stemming from the Texas law firm’s failure to disclose an intimate relationship between a former partner and a now-resigned bankruptcy judge.
The Lone Star State’s largest law firm has continued reaching deals with bankruptcy estates for companies it once represented in Chapter 11, filing notifications on Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas that it came to terms with administrators overseeing the liquidations of Strike LLC and IEH Auto Parts Holding LLC.
