Pampa in Talks to Join YPF-Led Argentina LNG Plans, CEO Says

Energy producer Pampa Energia is in talks to join LNG export plans that state-run YPF is developing with ENI and Shell, CEO Gustavo Mariani said on an earnings call.

• “We are always interested in projects that could allow us to develop our extraordinary gas reserves,” Mariani said, adding that company is “discussing with YPF and the other partners”
  • NOTE: FIDs haven’t been made yet on the YPF-ENI or YPF-Shell plans
• For now, Pampa is focused on its involvement in a separate LNG project through a consortium called Southern Energy, which has secured two floating liquefaction units (FLNGs)
