Data brokers who fail to register in California could be subject to some of the largest privacy penalties in the US next year, attorneys are warning.
The escalated penalties are due to CalPrivacy’s upcoming Jan. 1 launch of a first-in-the-nation system that will let residents delete all their data held by all brokers through a single form on its website.
