Delta CEO Says US Flight Cuts Will Hurt Quarterly Results (1)

Delta Air Lines Inc. said mandated flight cuts that snarled US air travel caused a significant financial impact, though the carrier expects a return to normal during the typically bustling Thanksgiving holiday if the government shutdown ends this week.

“We had a little over 2,000 cancellations. You can’t make that up within the quarter. So, yes, there was an impact,” Delta’s Chief Executive Officer Ed Bastian said in an interview with Bloomberg Television.
