Sen. Ruben Gallego said he plans to introduce a resolution to block President Donald Trump from invading Greenland.
Trump has repeatedly signaled an interest in Greenland, and he and administration officials have raised the issue after the US attack on Venezuela over the weekend to capture President Nicolás Maduro. Trump and his team are discussing options including the use of military force to acquire it, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Tuesday.
Senate Republicans have largely shrugged off the threats to Greenland while Democrats raised alarm.
