Duffy Warns of Worsening US Flight Delays as Paychecks Stop (1)

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned that flight delays risk getting worse as the US government shutdown enters its 28th day and air traffic controllers miss their first full paycheck.

“If we don’t have enough controllers, we will slow down the airspace, we will shut down flights,” Duffy said Tuesday on Fox News, blaming Democrats for the shutdown. Slowing air traffic will ensure planes get to and from their destinations safely, he said.
