FanDuel Launches Federal PAC in Latest Move to Woo Washington

FanDuel Group Inc. launched a new federal PAC Tuesday, marking the online sports betting company’s latest move to raise its profile in Washington.

The political action committee comes as FanDuel shelled out the most money it ever has on federal lobbying, nearly $800,000 through the third quarter, disclosure filings show, amid an industry push to expand online and sports gambling.

The PAC’s designated agent is Rob Mejia, FanDuel’s federal affairs director, according to a filing with the Federal Election Commission. Mejia didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
