The Senate’s nominee problem isn’t going away.
The chamber left for its month-long recess with a stalemate over President Donald Trump’s nominees, and the partisan battle will greet members again when they return next week. Even scattered across the country, Senate Republicans this month remained sour over the predicament, pledging to work toward more speedy confirmations after they come back.
“We spend two-thirds of our time on personnel in the United States Senate; we can’t continue to do that,” Senate Majority Leader
