The Trump administration is offering early exits for members of the Department of Homeland Security’s intelligence unit in a broader effort to downsize and refocus the team.
Personnel in the Office of Intelligence and Analysis received notices Thursday offering them deferred resignation or other voluntary departure packages, according to an email obtained by Bloomberg Government.
DHS didn’t provide details about the number of I&A employees affected but said agency leaders had identified redundant positions and programs within the office.
